Special 14 day tour along the inner Tien Shan
Type of tour: Combined (horse, trekking, automobile)
Season: June - September
Number of guests: Minimum of 2
Duration: 14 days
We are offering you an exciting 14-day tour in the magnificent mountains of the Tien Shan ("Celestial Mountains" in Chinese). This tour is unique in that it offers you the opportunity to view the virgin beauty of the Tien Shan mountains, as well as experience the ancient nomadic culture of the Kyrgyz people, by visiting Kyrgyz villages during the trek.

Kyrgyz mountain villages have managed to preserve the traditions and ancient nomadic culture of the Kyrgyz people. In summer, the nomads move to the jailoo (lush summer pastures) with their herds of sheep and horses, where they live in yurts (felt tents) just as they have for many centuries. In these mountains, the visitor can experience this sustainable relationship with nature, which the ancient traditions of the Kyrgyz have helped preserve to this day. Here you will find a world which attracts:

  • visitors who enjoy nature untouched by civilization;
  • adventure seekers;
  • those who wish to experience the warmth, calm and spiritual balance which a visit to the Kyrgyz Republic can bring.

    For those with a love of adventure, or who would like to learn more about a culture very different from their own, villagers offer a range of opportunities to go hiking or horse trekking. This is a great way to view magnificent landscapes, visit remote places, as well as a chance to try kymys, the ancient drink of the Kyrgyz nomads, made from fermented mare's milk, which is a tonic and a cure for respiratory illnesses.
