Description: The Great Silk road as a trading way appeared in 3rd century B.C. and existed up to the 16th century. The ancient trading cities located along the Silk road saw many devastating wars, destructions, big fires, famine and high mortality. Some of those cities have sunk into oblivion, having left ruins covered with legends to descendants, others more than once blazed on fire, perished and again revived to amaze the world with riches, blue of domes, openwork terracotta ligature of the mausoleums and mosques. From century to century east markets with different languages rustled, hundreds of years they carried for sale to Europeans precious silks and stones, spices and dyes, gold and silver, exotic southern birds and animals by dusty caravan roads.
The Great Silk road, one of the most significant achievements in the history of the World civilization. The ramified networks of caravan roads crossed Europe and Asia from the Mediterranean up to China and served as the most important means of trading connections and dialogue between cultures of the West and the East in times of antiquity and Middle Ages. The most extended site of the Silk road passed through the territories of Central Asia, including Kyrgyzstan.
Caravans, shiped with silk from China, spices and semi-precious stones from India, silver products from Iran, the Byzantian cloths, Afrosyab ceramics and many other goods went in deserts Kara Kum and Kyzyl Kum, through oases of Merv and Khoresm, boundless steppes Sary Arch, had to overcome passes of Pamir, Tien-Shan, Altai, cross the rivers Murghabs, Amu Darya and Syr-Darya. On a way of caravans rich cities, trading - craft settlements and caravanserais began to arise and blossom. Turkmenistan - Merv; Uzbekistan - Bukhara, Samarkand, Urgench, Khiva. Kazakhstan - Otrar, Turkestan, Taraz, Ispejab. Kyrgyzstan - Jul, Suyab, Nookent, Balasagun, Barskoon, Tash-Rabat, Osh, Uzgen. The European countries cooperated and communicated with the countries of Asia.

This route will give you the rare possibility to explore the uniquely beautiful Issyk-Kul and Naryn, together with affected severity of Central Tien-Shan, which suddenly opens with delightful lake Issyk-Kul. In China you will see Kashgar town, with visits of the big Kashgar Market and local people hospitality.
Day 1: Bishkek. Picking up at the airport and drive to Bishkek (33 km). Accommodation in a comfortable guest house, rest and breakfast. Excursion around Bishkek. Lunch and dinner.
Day 2: Bishkek - Issyk-Kul. After breakfast transfer to Issyk-Kul Lake (250 km), on the way visiting of Burana tower at the ancient town Balasgyn (11-13th cc.). Lunch. Accommodation in a hotel near of the North coast of the lake. Dinner.
Day 3: Issyk-Kul - Son-Kul. Breakfast, rest by the Lake and visiting of petrogliphies in Cholpon-Ata, transfer to Son-Kul Lake (3016 m) via Sary-Bulak pass (260 km), lunch on the way. Accommodation in yurts (Kyrgyz Traditional dwelling, 5-6 people in one yurt). Dinner.
Day 4: Son-Kul - Naryn. Breakfast and visisiting of Kyrgyz nomads family and possibly horse back riding. Then transfer to Naryn (235 km), accommodation in Kyrgyz guest houses. Lunch and dinner. Lunch and dinner.
Day 5: Naryn - Tash-Rabat. Breakfast and possibly visiting of the Art Galery. Lunch and drive to Tash-Rabat from Naryn town (120 km). Accommodation in yurts. Dinner. Excursion to Tash-Rabat.
Day 6: Tash-Rabat - Kashgar. Early morning breakfast and drive to the Kyrgyz-Chinese border, checking, lunch-box and transference of the group to the Chinese partner. Drive to Kashgar.
Day 7: Kashgar. Arpak Hojia's Tombs and Id Kha Mosque, the Street of Craftsmanship. Hotel accommodation. Full board.
Day 8: Kashgar. The animal market moved about 8 km away from the main market. Hotel accommodation. Full board.
Day 9: Kashgar - Sary-Tash. Picking up the group at the Chinese-Kyrgyz border Irkeshtam and drive to Sary-Tash valley (125 km). Accommodation in yurts. Dinner.
Day 10: Sary-Tash - Osh. Breakfast and transfer to Osh city (which has celebrated 3000 years two years ago). Lunch and sightseeing tour of the city with visit of Suleiman Gora (where you can make a wish which one day will realize). Accommodation in a National Guest house. Dinner.
Day 11: Osh - Bishkek. Breakfast. Drive to the airport to get a flight to Bishkek (660 km, 1 hour). Picking up the group at the airport in Bishkek and transfer to the city. Shopping. Lunch. Guest house accommodation. Farewell dinner.
Day 12: Departure. Early morning transfer to the airport and departure of Bishkek.

2. All tours start on Sundays as on this day there are several International flights by which you can come to Bishkek (British Airways, Turkish Airlines, Aeroflot etc).
Possible risks: Weather in this region is changing rapidly. There is a possibility of problems with visas at the borders. Therefore visas should be arranged in time.
Illnesses: There's always a chance to catch cold as a result of bad choice of clothes, and to have a gastric-intestinal disease in case of non-observance of hygienic rules.
