Description: The unique climate of Lake Issyk-Kul and its surroundings, which combines the peculiarities of both mountainous and maritime weather, is created by the presence of a giant, natural heat sink - Lake Issyk-Kul. Where else in the northern latitudes of the world can you experience such a combination: blazing sun, the scent of coniferous forests and the refreshing coolness of a sea breeze.

Journey along the Terskey, where the air itself is invigorating; an excellent opportunity to rejuvenate yourself and collect some unforgettable memories.

Itinerary
Bishkek - Jety-Oguz valley - Terskey-Ala-Too range - Karakol - Issyk-Kul - Bishkek

Day 1. Bishkek. Arrival in Bishkek (800m). Transfer to B&B. Rest. Breakfast. City tour in Bishkek. Visits to Museums, Eastern bazaar, souvenir shops. Or: 1 day trek in Ala-Archa gorge to "Ratsek" house. Lunch. Return to Bishkek. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 2. Bishkek - Jety Oguz valley. Breakfast. Early morning transfer to Jety-Oguz valley (370km) along shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. Lunch. Visit to the beautiful, famous red rocks known as the "Seven Bulls" and "Broken Heart". Taste Kymyz (fermented mare's milk). Accommodation in yurt camp. Dinner. Overnight in "Flower valley". (2,200m).

Day 3. Jety Oguz valley - Pass Tilety. Breakfast. Trekking with a shepherd for 16km to Tilety Pass. Lunch. Tent camp accommodation. Dinner. Overnight (3,200m).

Day 4.Tilety Pass - Karakol Gorge. Breakfast. Three-hour walk, crossing Tilety Pass (3,800m) will lead us to Karakol Gorge. Lunch. 10km hike along ancient nomadic path to tent camp near nomadic rest stop. Dinner. Overnights in tents.

Day 5. Karakol Gorge. Breakfast. Shorter hike of 8km from Karakol Gorge to camp shelter. Lunch and dinner. Overnight in base camp.

Day 6. Karakol Gorge - Keldyke Gorge. Breakfast. Hiking to Ala-Kul mountain lake (3,600m), which is more than 70 meters deep and of incomparable beauty. From the shore of the lake we see the beautiful glacier which is the source of the lake. Hike through Ala-Kul pass (3,860m) to Keldyke Gorge. Lunch. From the Pass, excellent view of five-thousand meter peaks of Terskey Ala-Too - including Karakol peak, Djigit peak and Tashtanbek peak. Tent camp will be waiting for you in this wonderful spot, surrounded by magnificent cliffs, from where multiple streams pour from glaciers. Dinner. Tents overnight.

Day 7. Keldyke Gorge - Karakol. Breakfast. Four hour hike to Altyn-Arashan resort (2,450m) . Lunch. Bath in hot springs. You will never forget the sight of snow on Peak Palatka (Tent, 5,260m), or the "Swallow's Nest Pool", nestled beneath the open sky. Transfer to Karakol (2 hours) in the afternoon. Accommodation in B&B. Dinner. Overnight in Karakol.

Day 8. Karakol - north shore Issyk-Kul. Breakfast. Transfer to Issyk-Kul Resort along north shore of Lake Issyk-Kul (160km). Accommodation in small hotel. Lunch. Rest. Dinner.

Day 9. Issyk-Kul. Breakfast. Day at Issyk-Kul. Rest, boating on Issyk-Kul. Visits to petroglyphs and ethnographic museum. Lunch. Dinner. Overnight in Issykl-Kul hotel.

Day 10. Issyk-Kul - Bishkek. Breakfast. Transfer to Bishkek (250km). En-route, visit to Burana tower at ancient city of Balasagyn (11th - 13th centuries). Lunch. Accommodation in B&B. Dinner. Overnight in Bishkek.

Day 11. Departure. Transfer to airport. Flight.

Note: For trekking it is necessary to bring rucksack, trekking boots, sleeping bag, warm clothing, sunglasses, raincoat, and hat. Physically fit people able to hike in mountain regions will have no problems on this route (hiking time approximately 5 - 7 hour / day).

Possible risks: Weather in this region changes rapidly. Possibility of problems with visa at border crossings, so visas should be arranged correctly and in time.
