Description: If you can ski intermediate runs at your local ski area, then you can heliski with us on our heliski program. If you have ever dreamed of going heliskiing in the mountains; if you have seen heliskiing movies and doubted your ability to do it yourself - you can go heliskiing or heliboarding with us in the Tien-Shan mountains where the powdery snow is deep, the air is fresh and the experience exhilarating. Enjoy mountains over 4,000 meters and spectacular views. Up to 1,200 vertical meters of varied terrain includes glacial snowfields, ridges and cols. Most of the area has no resort development and many side valleys and mountains are seldom visited but have good landing places on high mountain passes, ridges and glaciers where it is possible to begin descent. After each descent, helicopter takes the group to another location.
Your guide will select terrain according to snowfall, weather, and ability of the group. Our guides are professionals, dedicated to safety and comradeship. We employ three guides for the program. The guides carry radio and can contact the helicopter and mountain rescue services. They also carry emergency equipment.
We use MI-8-MTB helicopters, which are used in many countries as good and reliable aircraft. It is powered by two turbofan-engines and has a carrying capacity of two tons. It can carry a group of 15 skiers and boarders, depending on weight, plus guides and pilots. Two pilots fly the MI-8-MTB, which means extra safety. You can be sure that the helicopters are flown by pilots who are very experienced in heliskiing and mountain rescue flying.
This area is well known and used because of its large variety runs for skiing and close proximity (only 30 min. by helicopter)
With hundreds of ski runs, there is a tremendous variety of slopes to accommodate all levels of skiers and boarders from intermediate to expert. Weather and snow conditions every winter are hardly predictable but we'll do our best to find accessible slopes in this area!
