Inner Tien-Shan is an interesting part of Kyrgyz nature. There are hidden many unique places, such as Arabel Valley, Naryn valley and mountainous pearl Son-Kul lake. Arabel Valley is situated on 3600-4000 m above sea level, this is place of permafrost; it is high mountain tundra with plenty of bogs and lakes. There are about 50 lakes here. Naryn is high mountain valley, the biggestvalley in Kyrgyzstan. It is narrow and long, it's width 5-15 km and length 470 km. The river of the same name flows in Naryn valley. There are 5 hydroelectric power stations on Naryn river. Son-Kul (length 29 km, width 18 km) is the second biggest lake after Issyk-Kul situated in the inner Tien-Shan at 3016 m above sea level. There are no any trees in Son-Kul Valley slopes of ranges that surround it are covered by grass. From ancient times this valley was used as a pasture. In valley you can see plenty of mounds.
